Thread: Question for Penn St fans

  1. #1

Default Question for Penn St fans

Did Cael burn a red shirt for Morgan just for this dual? If so, I think he needs to take a few steps back away so he can see the bigger picture.

Also, was this loss to Iowa part of your strategy to shift the power in college wrestling to the East?

Even with the defending national champions coming to town you guys were acting as if this years title was already in your back pocket.

Yes, I'm gloating a little, but probably wouldnt be if you had acted with class and humility at all this season. (Kr, before you go nuts claiming that you did none of this, this excludes you, so I don't have to deal with your ramblings and ridiculous stats)

I will only say this, when the Gophers did a little chest thumping in the 2000-2009 decade, it was easy to get on the bandwagon, that is for sure and I think at times became easy to see things through maroon colored glasses.

In the end, I have learned a little bit of humility and respect for all of the other programs (Yes, even Iowa ) Lets give there fans a little bit of a break as I am sure today they feel like they have been run over by a bus. I will also say this. Before the season is over Cornell and Penn State will factor in to the NCAA Title and theres still a good chance one of those two teams will still be hoisting the trophy.

Great win by Iowa yesterday and really fun to watch on BTN. Its great how excited the crowd was and I am looking forward to how the team title plays out this year.

Anyone else see how freaking dog tired Alton was at the end of that match? I was really impressed with how Marion came out and just stayed with that match, and picked away at it until he was clearly the better conditioned athlete at the end.

I agree gofer. I think Penn St still has as good a shot as anyone to win the title this year. However, they have not won anything yet. Hopefully this loss will keep their fans in check a little. I don't mind excitement for your team but some should gain a little perspective before they spout off.

I had not discovered wrestling boards yet when Minnesota was winning it's titles so I missed out on their fans acting this way. I know alot of Minnesotans and somehow I doubt their politeness let them put the cart before the horse. (except JAMMEN)

All I have to say is PSU thought when Cael arrived they were all the sudden the God's of wrestling. Well let me tell you today you aren't the best until you can beat the best! I respect the hell out of some of PSU's wrestlers but I have lost all Respect for Cael. No matter what anyone else tells me I think he left ISU for PSU because he is weak minded when coaching. Tommy owned him at ISU and now he owns him thus far at PSU. Cael might be a good coach but he has a proven track record of failing when the lights are the brightest. ISU had similar teams to the one PSU has this year and they couldn't win. Good luck PSU but until you beat Iowa you are just another wrestling program with good athletes.

    Peace

    Funny stuff Herkey..

About Morgan: This dudes clearly not going to be in the lineup again so burning a RS isn't an issue. Martelloti, Megaludis will be creating the light weight log jam for PSU and I'm sure Cael realized that and sent him out there.

I understand that Morgan probably won't see the lineup in the future but I sill don't like burning a redshirt for one dual no matter who it is. Pataky must really be hurt, which doesnt help Penn St's chances much at nationals. Basically they will have njuries or no one good at 125, 165, 184 and 197. Those points will hurt alot as the tournament goes on. Hopefully no one else gets injured. Then they'd really have to give the trophy back before it was presented on Sat night.

Hey, you have every right to gloat. Iowa kicked PSU's collective asses. I conceed and congratulate Iowa for a great showing.

You need to understand that I'm a man with thick skin and can take a ribbing, Herkey. Now, with that being said, you really aren't being playfull with your words and you generally feel badly towards me, and that's really too bad. Contrary to your belief, I'm a good guy who really likes to have fun with people. I only wish you could have seen that.

Your thin skin is dually noted and I'll simply treat you with kid gloves and act "classy" for you.
