Gambrall DEC Magrum 10-3 in our first match. Gambrall gave up first TD, but it was pretty much all Gambrall after that, including 2 stalls on Magrum. Gambrall w/ no urgency in the last minute, should have been looking for the major.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...
Luke Lofthouse vs. Peter Capone
Luke Lofthouse gives up the first TD, but grabs an escape, and gets his own TD to tie it up in the second. Right before the TD, Capone got hit for stalling. Lofthouse rode out. Lofthouse chooses down to start the third.
Lofthouse being ridden, Capone has a leg in. Capone starting to get sloppy, and as I write that, Lofthouse reverses him as Capone tries to pull LL into a crab ride. Lofthouse riding tough, but gets warned for parallel riding. Lofthouse riding again, and following Capone's rolls, but Caone eventuall gets the escape with a granby. Capone showing no urgency, and Lofthouse is in dep as time expires, but finishes after the whistle. He also got the RT point.
Luke Lofthouse DEC Peter Capone 6-4.

Blake Rasing vs. Zach Stolarski
Rasing shockingly fires right out of the gate and is in deep on the edge. He gets the takedown call as he drags his foot, but no! Ref waves it off as Tom Ryan complains about the TD call. Bad call, IMO. Now just a lot of standing around with 1 minute left.
Rasing chooses down, and out quickly. He leads 1-0. Stall warning on Stolarsky, getting pushed around. Stolarsky tries to circle in from the edge, and Rasing trips him down for a TD AND he's hit for stalling! 4-0 Rasing! Rasing tilts him and it's 6-0. Stall call AGAIN at the end of the second, and it's 7-0 at the end of 2.
Stolarsky chooses down. Rides for a bit, but cuts him and IMMEDIATELY takes him down. 9-1 lead for Rasing. Rasing riding hard, and eventually ANOTHER stalling call, this one is a 2 pt penalty. Matche ends, and Rasing tacks on RT. 12-1 MD.
Rasing MD Stolarsky 12-1.

Matt McDonough vs. Bo Touris
McDonough in, but shockingly can't finish. He gets in a gain, and they scramble around, and McDonough nearly gets a neutral fall, but eventually ust gets the TD. Touris out quickly, and McDonough is back in quickly! Takedown, and it's 4-1. McD cuts him, and is in AGAIN almost immediately! Takedown, and this time he's looking for NF...he's getting the count...gets a 2 count, but holds onto the hold and takes him back over, and this time gets teh 5 count, but now he's moved from tilt to a pinning combination! Touris fights out, and McDonough rides out. 9-2 at the end of 1.
touris chooses down, and McD cuts him immediately. McD hits a fireman's and Touris is on his back! Only a two count, and it's 13-3 as McDonough is riding again. McD cuts him, and it's 13-4. Touris is broken as McDoniugh hits a simple double leg w/ no set up, and it's 15-4. McD takes him over with a half, and he's getting a count from exposure, but then touris is flat, and the ref calls the fall.
McDonough FALL Touris
Dual sits 16-0 after 4 matches

Tony Ramos vs. Ian Paddock
Ramos and Clark were both listed, but we've got Ramos on the mat. Lots of ties and handfighting early, couple of shots from Ramos, but he hasn't gotten close yet. ramos in deep, Paddock trying to power out and grabs an underhook, but Ramos finishes! Paddock out almost instantly, and it's 2-1. Great finish by Ramos, lookedl ike Paddock was going to get out. They handfight for the rest of the period, and it's 2-1 at the end of 1.
Ramos chooses down and he's trying to get away. Paddock is down to an ankle, and Ramos is scurrying as Paddock hangs on to one ankle for awhile, but no stall call. Paddock eventually recovers, and they go OB. Paddock throws a leg in on the restart, and Ramos is trying to get the leg out for a reversal, but the ref stalemates it. Both guys working hard, and Ramos gets an escape with 30 seconds left. 1:17 RT for Paddock and the period ends.
Paddock chooses down, and needs to get out in 17 seconds...but he doesn't. Ref stalemates them, and we're restarting. Ramos rides for a few seconds, but lets Paddock go. 3-2 Ramos with 1:20 left. Half shots for awhile, but Ramos not capitalizing on some openings as he tries to hang on. Stalling on Ramos w/ 20 seconds left. Ramos counters a shot by Paddock at the end for another TD, and he wins 5-2.
Ramos DEC Paddock 5-2

GO TONY! 33,65, and 74 HUGE matches for hawks.
Go Hawkeyes.
Good to see Rasing pile it on SOMEBODY.
Go Hawkeyes.
Stolarsky a 2 time state qualifier in Ohio...never even placed. This win just went down a few notches in my mind.
Go Hawkeyes.
