    Jordan Recognized for Exemplary Leadership and Sportsmanlike Behavior

    Columbia, Mo. -Senior wrestler Raymond Jordan (New Bern, N.C.) was named one of 21 semi-finalists for the fifth annual Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup. The Wooden Cup is given to a collegiate and a professional athlete who have made the greatest positive influence in the lives of others. Jordan was the only wrestler to make the list of semi-finalists and one of six Big 12 athletes recognized. Each individual was nominated by members of their athletic department and community.

    Apparently they just released the names of the athletes considered, but then the five finalists were announced as

    ? Ryan Adler – Hobart College, Ice hockey
    ? Andrew Berry – Harvard University, Football
    ? Lauren Mioton – Purdue University, Basketball
    ? Tim Tebow – University of Florida, Football
    ? Rob Whiting – Vanderbilt University, Cross country
