Default Hoosier duals matchups / discussion

    Old dominion
    125 James Nicolson 7th
    133 Kyle Hutter - 15th

    Indiana
    149 Kurt Kinser - 6th
    157 Paul Young - 7th
    184 Eric Cameron - 20th
    197 Matt Powless - 12th
    285 Ricky Alcala - 15th

    Northern Illinois*
    157*Bryan Deutsch -20th

    UNCG
    149 Ivan Loupouchanski - 15th
    174 Brian Sigman - 20th
    184 Andrew Saunders 16th

Although UNCG seems to be a better dual team than the amount of ranked guys they have. I'm thinking IU goes 3-0 with a close dual with UNCG. 149 looks to be the marquee match of the duals with kinser taking on the recently hard charging Loupanchanski. Cameron and Saunders could prove to be a swing match depending what weight they start at. Look for Williams to give Powless a run at 197 and Sturgeon vs Alcala to be a nail biter. I think upper weights decide this dual.

ODU vs IU I look for 133 Ortega vs Hutter to be a good one.

I think they pulled out. IU's site no longer has them listed.

Yea -you are right -used to be a 6 team , then 5, now 4 . Hutter has wrestled Ortega before and nearly beat Matt to death.

Ortega is much improved this year looked solid at MSU open. I guess we'll see a difference a summer makes tomorrow.

Matt had a decent freshman year then last year was dreadful-I'd like to see Ortega have a good year .
he wrestled Hutter in 08 and lost 18-7 at MSU Open .

Though not ranked, NIU's 184 pounder Brad Dieckhaus has looked good so far this year, I expect him to give Cameron and Saunders a go. Curious to see who NIU brings out at 141 - Deshazer or Mclemore. Definitely stinks when two of your three best wrestlers are at the same weight.
