DATE: Saturday, November 20, 2010
PLACE: University of Nebraska at Omaha Fieldhouse
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all post high school wrestlers. There will be two divisions. An Amateur division (formerly the 17-20 age division) and an Elite division (formerly the over 21 or open division). See attached sheet for the criteria for each division.
WEIGH-INS & There will be weigh-ins and skin checks at Sapp Fieldhouse beginning at 7:00 am

SKIN CHECKS: on Saturday, November 20th . If a wrestler fails to make the weight he is entered at, there will be a $25.00 charge to move up to the next weight.

WEIGHT CLASSES: The weight classes will be 125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 165, 174, 184, 197 and 285.

ENTRY FEE: A fee of $25.00 per wrestler will be charged. Entry fee must be paid prior to weigh-in.
At that time, you will receive a weigh-in card. Entry fee is non-refundable.
AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top six place finishers, wrestlers scoring the “Most Falls” and the “Outstanding Wrestler” in both the Amateur division and the Elite division.

TOURNAMENT: This will be a double elimination format tournament.

TIMING: All matches will be 7 minutes, with riding time. If the match is tied at the end of regulation, the NCAA overtime procedure will be used.

MATCHES: Wrestling will start at 9:00 a.m. and run straight through and finish around 10:00 p.m.
We will wrestle on twelve mats.

SCORING: There will be no team scoring.

FACILITIES: The Sapp Fieldhouse wrestling mats will be available at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19th to workout. On Saturday, November 20th, the Fieldhouse will be open at 5:30 a.m.

ENTRY DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted by (in an Excel form that will be available via email)Thursday, November 18th by 12 noon. Please email your entries to rhigdon@unomaha.edu. Please call 402-554-3384, or 402-554-3142 to verify your entries.

SEEDING: Outstanding individuals will be seeded.

According to Andy Hamilton; Clark, Ramos and Moore are all going to the UNO open to battle for Iowa's 133lb spot while Nick Trizzino stays home to wrestle in the IC duals.

Excited to see Zilverburg perform

It will be fun to see how the Moore, Clark, Ramos battle shakes out. Seems like all three are pretty even at this point. I'm also looking forward to seeing Zilverberg wrestle and hoping that David Thorn wrestles this weekend to see how he looks.

I'll be there eager to see Minny in action. D Thorn is looking over his shoulder at Antczak, who could be the starter with a big weekend. Kaleb Young may be out with injury which puts Steinhaus in the drivers seat after a good Bison. Will Ortiz make the cut to 157? Lots of questions to be answered.

It is a long day of wrestling in a bad venue, but better than a nearby quadrangular.
