Dont think anyone who isn't named Troy Nickerson can give Esco a challenge personally...

I actually think Long would have a way better chance of beating him then McD, despite McD beating long 3x

Nickerson would most definately give Escobedo a challenge if he was completely healthy but I'm not sure if his shoulder can handle sustained live competition. It didnt hold up during the scuffle. Nationals is way more physically gruelling than the scuffle.

I think McDonough will give him a good run and I wouldnt be suprised if he beat him. I have not seen anything from Matt this year that would point to a loss against anyone. At one point in the season I said theres no way he beats Sanders but I was wrong on that one. He will have to go through Zach to get to Escobedo at Big Tens. Not an easy road.

I have seen lots to point to a loss. Matt gives up waaay too many points to be able to beat esco, 7 to long, 7 to long, 8 to long, 7 to garnett. These are lesser wrestlers by far. I'm not sure if esco has been taken down all year. Matt is a fab frosh but he will be overpowered by esco. If you just understood how unfreakingbelievable Angel has been this year it would seem like a simple choice.

I don't think McDonough can get in on Escobedo's legs - and Esco is smart about his shots and likely won't give up a counter takedown.

I've been nothing but impressed with McDonough an am still AMAZED about how well he's handled the weight cut but I think Esco is a step above at this point in their career. Esco with 2 first period TDs to a 6-3 victory with riding time...
