Why so? Is it mental or a weight thing?

Anyone else think Askren is pretty daggone banged up? I think they're just trying to preserve him for b12 and nationals.

Show me another 184 pounder that's beat the roster of stud 197 pounders over the last 3 years, and I'll show you someone who's pretty daggone banged up.

Maybe he should have been down at 184 to begin with. Although I don't think he would have ever beaten Herbert. I think as a team the last few years it has helped them to have him at 197, I think if he had been able to make the cut pretty easy then he should have been there the whole time.

If you and BlueStater say he's a good guy I take back that remark and apologize -just I e-mailed the coach ,Smith, he e-mailed me back saying Max was fine and then when he did NOT wrestle I e-mailed him again and he gave me a list of matches Max would be wrestling in -the big 12 duals ,the big 12 conference and the NCAA's -as he is on my fantasy team I hope he wins everything but as a former coach I wonder at starting a guy 1/3 of the teams matches . Definitely not good for wrestling but since the two of you have said he's a good guy and not some head case via Halsley( who I had last year as well) then I believe he is a good guy and the coach is doing what is right for him -I'd hate to see a wave of 10 year old's emulate Max and his proclivity to missing duals .
