Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
So if the Gophers can pull an "upset" at 133, 141, 157, 184 or at Heavy Grips, they most likely will win?

Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
Not that my vote means dick, but it looks like Grips and I are the only two picking Oliver to upset Ness. On the other hand, I think Dietchler beats Erisman, so maybe it all evens out in the end.
125 - Sanders Dec Notte 3-0 Minny
133 - Oliver DEC Ness 3-3
141 - Parks DEC Thorn 6-3 Okie
149 - White DEC Mason 9-3 Okie
157 - Dietchler DEC Erisman 9-6 Okie
165 - Schlatter Major DEC Meade 10-9 Minny
174 - Glasser DEC Mcneil 13-9 Minny
184 - Foster DEC Yohn 13-12 Minny
197 - Gelogaev MD Nord 16-13 Okie
HWT - Rosholt DEC Berhow 19-13 Okie

125: #4 Zach Sanders v. #7 Chris Notte 4-0
Sanders proves why he's underranked at number 4.
133: #2 Jayson Ness v. #6 Jordan Oliver 7-0
Ness wins a this one, but Oliver is the real deal.
141: #4 Mike Thorn v. #5 Jamal Parks 7-3
Parks prevails with too much power for hard-working Thorn.
149: #9 Mario Mason v. #12 Albert White 10-3
Mason wins a close one over talented White.
157: #13 Jake Deitchler v. #9 Neil Erisman 10-6 Minnesota
Deitchler is banged up, and this early battle goes to Erisman.
165: #1 Dustin Schlatter v. #12 Alex Meade 14-6 Minnesota
We'll see the best of Schlatter. Could be a major.
174: UR Scott Glasser v. UR Chris McNeil 17-6 Minnesota
Could go either way depending on Glasser's performance.
184: #16 Sonny Yohn v. #10 Clayton Foster 17-9 Minnesota
Foster is no pushover, and this will be a test of Yohn's improvement.
197: UR Joe Nord v. #4 Alan Gelogaev 17-15 Minnesota
The beast from the East will put a big hurt'n on hapless Nord. WBF
285: #8 Ben Berhow v. #2 Jared Rosholt 17-18 Oklahoma State
Rosholt will win a close one over an improved Berhow.
Frankly, this meet could go either way, with the winner getting bragging rights, and maybe even a slight recruiting advantage.
I agree with this but Oliver could pull the upset and Parks is inconsistent and Rosholt needs to pick it up.

Glasser WBD
Foster WBD
Gelogaev WMD
Rosholt WBD
OSU 18
Minn 13
33 obviously can easily go Minn way, but l dig big upsets, not sold on Mason at 49, but had to give him the win since I'm picking the upset @33 for OSU. So even if those flip flop... score stays the same. Or if Minny takes them both, then gophs win by one by DS lone bonus points.

Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
How many times did Foster beat Yohn in high school? 3 or 4? And will Minny even have its team? They will be giving up bonus points at 149 and 157 w/o mario and jake

Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
If there ever was a meet where bonus points mattered, this is it.

Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
This will obviously turn on a SINGLE match.
I think the difference will be
1) Oliver over Ness in OT (my upset pick of the week & there will be upsets in this dual)
2) If Gelogaev gets the fall in the only match that features ranked vs unranked
3) Near fall points, (i.e. bonus points as grapplefan said)
I take OSU by less then 3

Re: #4 Minnesota v. #5 Oklahoma State Predictions/Discussion
Sanders won't major Notte. McNeil for OSU isn't that good of a wrestler, but I see a lot of people picking him over Glasser, so can someone give me Glasser's bio or something.
