Update: 3 Penn wrestlers arrested in Nov for alleged Oct assault
Last Sunday, we reported that three University of Pennsylvania wrestlers -- Matt Dragon, Cesar Grajales and Rollie Peterkin -- had been suspended "for violation of departmental policy," according to the wrestling program's website.
Now, an update: The Daily Pennsylvanian -- the student newspaper at Penn -- reported that the three had been arrested November 16 in connection with an aggravated assault allegedly committed October 3.

for the police to arrest them 6 weeks after the crime says a LOT-all are over 18 so they wil be in big boy court - even money they al walk and get this expunged .Am I saying a double standard exists with in our Hallowed Halls of Justice ? Absolutely .

Re: Update: 3 Penn wrestlers arrested in Nov for alleged Oct assault
It ain't getting expunged, no way. If the evidence is there, they get charged. Now, will they see time? Probably not.

Re: Update: 3 Penn wrestlers arrested in Nov for alleged Oct assault
whether they get it expunged or not depends upon the law in Penn. In wisconsin, it is only for misdemeanors and the perp has to be under 21 years old.........and it also depends upon the position of the DA. 6 weeks to investigate, doesn't mean that the DA isn't serious about the charges. It is more likely than not related to doing a thorough investigation because the incident is "he said/he said" and/or it was at an event with many witnesses whose statements needed to taken. "Walk"??? I presume that you mean probation or a fine rather than either a jail or prison sentence. Assuming no priors, that is probably apros pos for anyone regardless of whether they are a wrestler or not. The court will be interested in the restitution question as well. So, define your terms and I may very well offer you a sig bet, my friend.

They won't see the inside of a prison . In Indiana any violent offense carries mandatory time of at least 6 months -non suspendable .but , the prison system here is now only feeding inmates 2 meals a day 4 days a week, saying due to prison overcrowding and understaffing lunch will not be served as 2400 caories a day can be met through 2 meals a day .

Re: Update: 3 Penn wrestlers arrested in Nov for alleged Oct assault
The 6 weeks to arrest means they probably have a very strong case because they know they will be facing high powered attorneys and they'd better be sure they can prove the charges .
