Nice showing for the good guys at the East Stroudsburg Open. Alton may not lose a single match all year in these kind of tournaments. Matt Brown laid waste to his bracket.

This question is serious and not meant to antagonize. Did anything at all happen to Ed Ruth after his arrest this summer? I am surprised that he is wrestling with no suspension. I am wondering if I am missing something.

Pretty much it was a non-event. Basically got a "suspended" sentence.

Wes Phipps 3x PIAA medalist committed to PSU on Tuesday afternoon.

We have to give credit to Wes wanting to stick in PA as well b/c as a few have pointed out the Schollie $ is low right now.

If any of you noticed a couple of weeks ago I posted that Cael was on the road to try & get a verbal commit from atop recruit. THat recruit was Wes. Why it didn't happen right then? Well right before Cael got there Wes got an very big offer from Kent State. Bigger than PSU's. And to boot, in terms of miles, Kent is closer to him that State College. He also had very good offers from Kerry McCoy & Scott Goodale.

I guess he needed just a little time to sort it out but you guys should know that Wes wanted to come here more than the money! Hows that for integrity?

    Welcome aboard young Mr Phipps.

Great to hear about Phipps! Those are the kind of guys that we want--they really buy into the program. We need more depth in the upper weights as well, so that's great. Now, if we can only get Black later on!
