Link to the brackets are right here.

Kent State doesn't appear to have their name guys entered, neither does VT.

Still a decent showing in terms of quality though. Old Dominion has their guys there and should probably win the tournament.

    Electric!! Re: hokie open

So let me get this straight...

Virginia Tech has no entrants in their own tournament?
    Gold is an idiot.

They've got their young guys in there, and then a few of their name guys (Epperly and Spellman that I saw off a quick glance).

My primary interest in the team is the two DE guys, and they're both sitting out. I probably could have fashioned the last comment in a more clear way.

Dunno what you talkin bout, other the garnett and Yates it looks like most of Vts starters are their... Looks like only backups from Kent though

BAHAHAHA, Remember when some people were getting on Jensens about not adding this tourney? Those were the days... I'm seeing two likely matches between top 25 guys in the whole tourney

Btw interesting to see Alexander Medved making a comeback, you'd think his elligibility would have expired. He also seems to have lost weight.

ALSO, is that our very own Curtis Chenoweth I see registered at 174?!?!?
    Gold is an idiot.

Interesting to see BANGA lose to some 3rd string guy from Kent State.

Garnett got his elbow shoulder screwed up in a nasty guillotine. He had been dinged up prior as well, I'm sure it's precautionary.

    Finals Results

125: James Nicholson (ODU) maj Matt Oliver (Newberry) 11-3
133: Kyle Hutter (ODU) dec Sheridan Moran (Newberry) 8-3
141: Ivan Lopouchanski (UNCG) default Chase Skonieczny (Kent State)
149: John Nicholson (ODU) default Nick Stabile (UNC)
157: Thomas Scotton (UNC) dec Jesse Dong (VT) 4-2
165: Chris Brown (ODU) dec Matt Epperly (VT) 10-8
174: Jake Young (UTC) dec Eric Decker (ODU) 3-1
184: Joe Budi (ODU) dec Jamelle Jones (Unattached) 3-1
197: Jesse Strawn (ODU) fall Zac Bennett (UNC) 6:18
285: Konrad Dudziak (Duke) dec David Marone (VT) 4-1

Like I said for EMU, not too bad looking for an early season tournament.

Be interested to hear what went down in the finals at 149. No matter what happened it appears as though John Nicholson is going to be really good, and possibly be really good really quickly.

Nice upset win by Scotton over Dong who had pinned his way to the finals.

Then two nice little showdown matches in the finals at 165 and heavy with Dudziak v. Marone being the marquee match of the day.

Stabile hurt a finger, out a couple weeks.
