This week's blog.
This week's blog.
2011 NAIA Wrestling Championships, March 3, 4 & 5, Cedar Rapids, IA. I'll see you there.
Jake Shields is fighting on CBS, Sat. Nov.7th for Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. Jake is asking wrestling fans and MMA fighters with a wrestling backgrounds to donate to the Cal State Fullerton Wrestling programe, they need to raise 0,000 by next year.
Cal State Fullerton will host the all star match latter this month, good time to send a check.
They also have a website set up I believe you can make donations that way as well.

Champions are made while no one is watching.
Either way that is great. I know there are some other MMA fighters out in that area who are former wrestlers and even alumni of Fullerton, this is their time to step up.
Good for Jake and hopefully everyone out there in the area will also help support the program by attending the match.
Champions are made while no one is watching.
Random thoughts coming to mind. How many MMA fighters/fighters in general have wrestled in the All-Star:
(off the top of my head)
- Matt Hughes
- Josh Koscheck
- Brock Lesnar
- Johnny Hendricks
- Jake Rosholt
Anyhow those are just a few I can think of.

These are the names I can add:
Phil Davis
Paul Bradley
Mo Lawal
Shane Roller
Mark Munoz
Aaron Simpson
Reese Andy
Randy Couture
Rex Holman
Matt Lindland
Carlton Haselrig
Tom Erikson

Dan Severn
Many of the top MMA fighters have a wrestling base as Jake Shields pointed out in a recent interview, mentioned Fullerton and the need to support wrestling programs in general.
