Pickrel leads as Jacks fall 38-6
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Aaron Pickrel put the only points on the board as the South Dakota State wrestling team fell 38-6 to Air Force in Western Wrestling Conference action in Colorado Springs, Colo. Saturday night.
Pickrel didn't even make it through the first period before he pinned Falcon 125-pounder Tyler Spangler at two minutes 45 seconds. The win is Pickrel's sixth win by fall on the season. He improves to 20-8 on the season and 2-1 in the WWC.
The Jackrabbits, open at 133 pounds, dropped three matches by decision, three more by major decision, one by technical fall and one by fall.
The Jacks, now 1-11-1 overall and 0-4 in the WWC, are back in action Feb. 11 when they host WWC opponent North Dakota State at 7 p.m. in Frost Arena.
