STILLWATER--Oklahoma State's wrestling team will take all 10 of its starters to Des Moines, Iowa, for the 2013 NCAA Championships as 141-pounder Julian Feikert received an at-large bid, it was announced today by the NCAA.
"It was good news today to hear that Julian Feikert was picked as a wild card for NCAAs," coach John Smith said. "It gives us a full squad wrestling at the tournament. The key to doing well at NCAAs is having all 10 of our guys scoring points. I'm happy for Julian because he deserves to go, and I'm glad the committee has really seen his quality wins. It's a good day, and I'm looking forward to the NCAA Championships."
Along with the field announcement came the brackets for the tournament, in which eight of the 10 Cowboys are seeded.
Jon Morrison, the No. 7 seed at 133 pounds, will face MacKenzie Maguire of Kent State in the first round. The two met up at the National Duals regionals in Kent, Ohio, where Maguire walked away with a 3-2 win.
