The second-ranked Iowa wrestling team pounded No. 23 Purdue 37-3 Friday at Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind.

The Hawkeyes (13-0-1 overall and 6-0 in the Big Ten) had seven major decisions and one pin over the Boilermakers (6-8-1 and 1-4) to improve their dual unbeaten streak to 75.

Purdue starters A.J. Kissel (ranked eighth at 184 pounds), Logan Brown (fifth at 197) and heavyweight Roger Vukobratovich were out of the lineup because of injuries.

Grant Gambrall (184), Luke Lofthouse (197), Blake Rasing (heavyweight), Tony Ramos (133), Montell Marion (141), Mark Ballweg (149) and Aaron Janssen (165) scored major decisions for Iowa. Ballweg moved up a class from 141, where he is expected to remain for the rest of the season.

Matt McDonough had a pin at 125 for Iowa, and Ethen Lofthouse suffered Iowa?s only defeat, a 6-5 decision at 174 to eighth-ranked Like Manuel.
