BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Hoosier Wrestling (7-2) split a pair of matches on Sunday at the 2010 Indiana Duals, picking up a 24-13 victory over Eastern Michigan (3-4) before falling, 26-12, to #24 Missouri (8-4). Indiana's three nationally-ranked wrestlers each went 2-0 on the day.

Young and Kinser improve to 13-3 and 13-4, respectively, and Powless is now an owner of an 18-1 overall record.

Indiana's contest with the Eagles of Eastern Michigan was locked up at 13-13 following the 174-pound bout before the Hoosiers ripped off three straight wins to take the 24-13 team triumph. Powless' 14-4 major over Nick Whitenburg clinched the `W' as the Newburgh, Ind., native racked up six takedowns in the process. Additional IU victors agsinst EMU included Matt Ortega's major at 133 pounds, to go along with decisions by Eric Cameron and Ricky Alcala.

Young faced Missouri's Nick Gregoris, who entered the competition 10-0, in the afternoon match and stuck him at the 5:59 mark. It marked Young's team-leading seventh pin of the season. Kinser is even with his former Bloomington H.S. South teammate with seven falls as well. Heavyweight Ricky Alcala came up just shy of pulling off a big upset, losing the riding time battle with No. 5 Dom Bradley to drop a heart-breaker, 1-0.
