For 4 Georgia High School Wrestlers Arrested While Attending Camp and many other topics visit

Four high school wrestlers, including one from metro Atlanta, were arrested on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting another teen male during a wrestling camp on the campus of Shorter College in Rome.

The incident allegedly took place on Friday; Rome police arrested the four men the next day, according to the Rome News-Tribune. The five teens were on campus for a camp hosted by Team Georgia, the state affiliate of USA Wrestling.

Police reports indicate that Jamel Marshawn Sharp sexually assaulted the victim, while three others?Robert Darshawn Sharp, Dallas Kendrick Brown* and Kenny Thunson Mason ? held the victim.

All four are 17; Robert and Jamel Sharp are brothers and students at Valdosta High School; Mason is a Lowndes High School student. Brown is from Lawrenceville.

Jamel Sharp is charged with aggravated sexual battery, a felony, and simple assault, a misdemeanor. Robert Sharp, Brown and Mason are charged with aggravated sexual battery ? party to a crime, a felony, and simple assault. A Floyd County judge later denied bond for all four teens.

The attack took place about 10:20 p.m. on Friday at an undisclosed location on the Shorter campus. A school spokesperson said Shorter was renting facilities, including dormitory space, for the camp and was not affiliated with it.
