Once there, away from the spotlight, unable to hear any of the clatter coming from the 10,285 fans in Conseco Fieldhouse, the stark realization hit the Yorktown 135-pound wrestler.

He had lost for the second consecutive season after taking an unbeaten record into the state title match. This time, it was a distasteful 5-3 defeat to Ethan Raley* (No. 8 @ 135)* of Indian Creek.
