I actually got say JenSens that I think these rules are very solid I especially like that you added bonus points for placing top two but limited it to the returning tournaments. That will keep some of the relatively easier new tournaments that we are adding from having an unfair advantage in scoring compared to say midlands where finishing first really is a big deal.
Whether 10 and 5 is the right amount we'll just have to play and see and adjust it if needed.
The only thing I dont really like is that everyone not keeping a player gets two draft picks in return, it seems to me like they should get to make their first picks and then the 2nd round should be randomly seeded, but maybe Im biased since Ill most likely be picking caldwell. If you do decide on that system as final I'll have some other questions about the mechanics but first Im curious what everyone else thinks about this?
One thing I could use some clarification on is the scoring system for the ncaa tournament, are you keeping the 3,4,5,6 point scores for winning matches?
My suggestion last year was to pretty much go by the book and use NCAA scoring because this would a) mean you would have to do no work whatsoever and b) be the best way to replicate how your team would actually be scored in NCAAS (Duh I know). Im curious to peoples thoughts on this? It seems like the most accurate representation in my mind and since all previous scores are erased it wouldnt matter that the values are different then they have been all season.
Obviously this wouldnt work for other tournaments because for example every confrence has its own tourney with a different ammount of wrestlers, but for the NCAAs it makes a lot of sense I think.
