    Hey Brothers,
Not to bitch and moan, but in thinking about playing this next year (and we should DEFINANTLY play next year, I'm already enjoying this season more than usual!) maybe it would be good to be able to use ALL possible competition, including All-Star matches and all early season opens (such as Michigan Open, Fullerton, Best of West, Cowboy Open, Brockport, Keystone, BodyBar, etc.).
This would be a bitch for the Commish if s/he had to hunt down every wrestler and where they were competing, however, if we do it the way that many of us are currently doing anyway (each player looking up and scoring their own team, and posting the wrestlers and their proposed competition by 12 Friday, it would mean that the commish only has to verify, and we could create some brutal, ball-smashing penalty for anyone who lies about their guys matches or results. Would be a nice way of getting everyone exposed to all of the excellent early season wrestling that takes place prior to Vegas and Midlands, as well as giving some point to the competition that our teams are having early on.
What say ye lads 'n lasses?

i like bringing a few more competitions into play OR getting to say that each wrestler can use up to three tournaments and then choose the ones they will participate in...

someone made a comment, and it really is accurate that finishing third is better than finishing 1st because you get more matches potentially and could potentially have a lesser opponent in the last match...i would propose giving a point total for 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

Agree with MOJO thought that this has been fun as I am working hard to track down my wrestlers and in the process, learning alot about other teams...

I'm considering instituting some kind of bonus for a wrestler winning a tournament. I know we don't have many, but its been brought to my attention, and I do agree with the concept.

Kind of annoyed at myself, that it slipped my mind in my initial rules though.

My thought to take the labor of Jensen would be to institute match play. That way the two going head to head for the week can do their own scoring. The head to head players can keep each other accountable. Jensen would only have to do his own match and we could include all competitions.

It actually doesn't take me very long to tally points, some people do it already, so all I have to do for them is a really cursory check. Then for the others, I don't think it took more than an hour and a half for me to tally everyone up last time.

I think switching to head to head match ups each week would be a little too substantial a change, especially now that we've started rolling.

I like the head to head idea a little better. Keep the points for the year though. Then take maybe say the 4 teams with the best dual records for the final tourney and give a wild card to 1 or 2 teams with the highest points total throughout the year and these 6 teams then battle it out for the title in a tournament format. Perhaps an idea for next year?
