How does 34 look. I took out Tanelli's but found at that Marable won against Patrovich this weekend by major so that brought me back up to 34.

This is going to be hard to keep up so I just started making my wrestlers home pages my favorites so that I can check the results faster.

I think 34 has me in good position though as having half my squad wrestling duals this week was a pretty good percentage compared to most.

i should have started triggas at 125 and would have gotten some more points but i remember jensens saying that we had to keep our line-ups for two weeks so i held him out...

We aren't doing two weeks, this Friday you'll get to set your line ups again.

Yeah, I'll be checking everyone myself for real probably around Wednesday or so. But you look like you've got things together.

I think next week I'm going to have you all work a little bit. Going to make it so you go through your line ups and instead of posting a whole line up, only posting guys who are going to have matches.

This sounds fair and I think it is what a number of cutting edge players like Brother Lost have been doing anyway! The Commish is WISE! (I have been calling Brother Jensen "Commish" soley for the purpose of being able to misappropriate this excellent line from the current Miller Lite Beer commercials ! ) Hope the commish takes no offense in this, the title is used with all due respect !

The Commish is fine with that, however the Commish wishes thoughts of him were associated with a better tasting beer.

That is, if the Commish was of age enough to know what beer tastes like.

Commish......there are no American commercial beers that taste good! YOu may find some micros that tast good, but the rest of them suck up to America's notoriously bland pallet. Go North and get LaBatt's Ice or something. Go South and get Carta Blanca(not that swill that they add lemons/limes to); go west and get San Miquel. Go east and get anything dark..........just stay the hell away from Bud-Milller-Shitz-Coors etc....

    Further your affiant sayeth not.

Brother TLV and The Wise Commish,
Brothers, you have it all wrong on this issue, I am saddened to report. Believe me, I know and appreciate to depth, complexity and actual TASTE (imagine that!) of the fine fermented brews of our brothers in Bavaria, Thailand, Mexico, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Italy, France, The Philippines (mmm San Miguel) and Scandinavia. Besides my deadly headlocks and arm-throws, I was known, back in the day, for being the resident beer connoisseur on any US team which I was on, and I used to bring along an empty duffel bag for the sole purpose of bringing back to the US one bottle of beer for each country or province we visited. I currently have a collection of over 200 (now stale) bottles of beer from around the world stored in boxes in my brother-in-laws basement in Sacramento. I would say that most, if not all of these bottles of heaven were vastly superior in taste to anything that is advertised during Saturday and Sunday football games, as Brother TLV wisely alludes to.

HOWEVER, in reference to Miller Lite specifically, the actual TASTE of said beverage is NOT the primary objective. The following (true) scenario should help to illustrate a worthy and sacred need for brews of Mr rs. Miller, Budweiser, Coors and their domestic ilk:
When I was a college and post collegiate wrestler, every Monday morning before class, I would carefully place two 12 oz bottles of Miller Lite into the rear, right corner of our ancient fridge, as this was the coldest part of the decrepit appliance. My deal to myself was this - If I wasn't taken down by ANYONE in practice between Monday and Thursday, on Thursday night, after practice I would walk the 1/2 mile home (instead of taking the campus shuttle) in my practice gear, gently retrieve these two bottles from the fridge, and go out on the back porch amidst the swirling San Francisco Fog and wind, and give one toast to my various HS and college coaches, and training partners and proceed to gulp down these two bottles in about 3 or 4 gulps. The fact that they were relatively tasteless, simple and bubbly along with being ice-cold and that it was my first liquid after a hard practice, made these the best beers in the world in that moment, bar none! A few times, I would try the same thing with bottles of Dos XX or Pilsner Urquell or some such "real" beer. but invariably, I would stop to taste the beer and the power gulp would be destroyed. I also noticed that I didn't wrestle as well the next day or weekend, which was part of the point of the ritual in the first place. So I stuck to Miller Lite or its equivalent for the rest of my career, almost always to good results.

Beer has a vast number of reasons why it is, as Ben Franklin said "Proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy". I have learned that complex taste and full-bodied flavor are only one of them. A quick and satisfying washing away the pains of a week of hard practice and self-sacrifice (which we wrestlers know as well or better than anyone!) and giving us a quick, uncomplicated reward for meeting a small, but important personal weekly goal, is just as noble and valid a reason for a beer's existence as any in my book. So Brother TLV and Commish, try them all, drink away and enjoy all of the pleasures that the hops, malts, grain and cool waters have joined forces to give us. In this case, more is better.
