They've been in the rules for several years now. You benefitted (or at least you would have had things been close) from those same award points last year when Jordan Burroughs won the Hodge.
This is not about winning/losing . I do a LOT of behind the scenes stuff and i let some people down this year. the difference between Burroughs and Taylor is DT was NOT available in the draft thus allotting LoSt an automatic 5-15 points.
I'll probably be MORE involved in Fantasy by not playing than playing .

Dude... I drafted DT in the second round when he was a frosh and no one knew how good he would be. I got rewarded by getting the opportunity to keep him the following year, at the expense of my first round pick and a penalty for my second round draft order.

These are the rules we ALL play under, and have played under for years.

You've benefited from the award points rule when your guy won the hodge, and you benefited from the keeper rule the year before that when you kept Andrew Howe.

I can understand why you are upset (you thought you had won, then found out you hadnt) but don't act like this is somehow unfair to you.

I traded Howe before the season started . Just DT (and 99% of the board would agree ) is the best wrestler out there . I'll check yet i don't believe any bonus points made or broke me or had a difference in the outcome. If so, i would like to think i wouldn't accept them .

I mean, why would we even bother awarding points for the awards if they didn't potentially affect the outcome? Thats kind of the whole idea... If you had an issue with the idea of bonus points for the OW and hodge you probably should have raised it when we were putting that rule in place.

I'm not going to argue against DT being the best in D1, but I really dont see how that is relevent. You lucked out and got the #1 pick your first year, and got to pick Brent Metcalf, unquestionably the best wrestler of that year, before anyone else got to pick him. If we'd had bonus points for the Hodge and OW he would have scored you extra points that year as well. How is that different from me keeping Taylor, except for the fact that 1) I took a bigger risk to take Taylor as an unproven freshman, and 2) I incurred a penalty in my draft order so that I could keep him this year?

If you were new to the league and didn't have the option for a keeper maybe I would understand, but these are the rules we have played under for years, and you were well aware of them. You have the same chance to draft and keep guys that I do, and you have in fact taken advantage of the keeper rule, whether or not you traded the guys away afterwards.
