    Default Fantasy League Question:RE: Back-ups

Brother Commish, Your wisdom is needed~~~~

Suppose I have a guy on Fantasy Team "A" who suffers an injury at the Scuffle, that seems serious, but by next week, said injury is much better and the coach announces at press time announces that Team "A" wrestler will suit up in the Va. Duals, but they will be making a "mat-time" decision.

Now, Team "A" has a fairly tough wrester in the weight class below my guy. This wrestler however, is on fantasy team "B". Fantasy team "B", but is being placed on the bench for the ucoming//current week. So, say the coach of Fantasy wrestler "A", to the surprise of all, decides at mat-time to holld Fantasy wrestler "A" back due to his injury, instead, to the surprise of all, bumping wrester "B" up into "A's" spot. B gets a fall and all is well for that team.
My question is: Do I ,as coach of Fantasy wrester "A" get the points scored by fantasy wrestler "B" for that match? Wrester B is the legit back-up to A for this match, Even though A is on someone elses team.

The wrestlers in question are Ryan Patrovich (starting my team) and Gillespie (riding the bench on Brother Snackem's team) last week.
    I await your sage wisdom.

    Thanx.

BAILIFF-WHACK his pee-pee !! You know you cannot score when Gillespie belongs to some one else-had me thinking I was in Algebra class again . NOT a happy thought.
But-there is a subsection D-paragragh 16-where the wrestler on B's roster must be in the line up or A gets his points unless Jupiter is aligned with Mars-then peace will rule the planet....all that typing for 3 points ??

Well Gee, uh, officer Russell, sir. I was just trying to get a few more points so's I can be able to see Paytonland from my rooftop deck! Cant fault a fella for trying can ya? Besides, old Patrovich was working so hard, and that layabout Gillespie wasn't using the points! Sheeze. Rich guys. They want it all and us poor guys don't even get a tiny bit.

PS. I love the early 70's stoner references....Lets see that would be Cheech and Chong and the 5th Dimension singng "Age of Aquarius". What the h*ll is that song supposed to mean anyways? I'm talking the 5th, not C&C. There most excellent stuff was usually pretty self explanitory.

Supposedly we are entering the age of Aquarius -where the Water sign or peace sign will dominate the Earth. The 5th dimension got their name as the 5th dimension extends beyond time and space. Sounds like a crock to me -but what do I know ?
Well-she looked at least 13 to me .
How to you plead ? Guilty !! I'm just crazy bout that stuff-remember the Wedding Album and the humongous Tops paper that came inside the album ? Da MAN put Chong in prison for selling bongs on line ?? What a world..you get my PM about big Rod and his son ??

Like Russ says, if a guy is on someone else's team you can't get points from him.

OK, Thats what I thought the rules were, but when I rechecked to make sure, there was no rule that really covered that specific situation, ie when a listed and scoring back-up is not "activated" by taking him off of the "bench" and placing him on the team roster, either as a scoring weight class member or a "flex" team member. I imagine this situation may arise several times this year, with more teams claiming a wrestler who is the true "back-up" to a potential non-starter on another team (ie Dallas /Meade if he ever resurfaces or Rosholt/Gelagov.. Thank you for clarifying Brother Commish. And my sincere apologies to any brothers who confused even more by Brother Russ and I staggering down memory lane via the lyrics of (yet more...) awesome songs or comedy bits from the great artists of musics greatest era, the 70's. You youngster will just have to accept the pleasure of listening to old-head GEMS such as Cheech y Chong and Jefferson Airplane, and the 5th dimension. Like cod liver oil, its very good for the health of your soul!

I beg to differ with you Brother g MOJO: the BEST was the 60s. Wilson Pickett, The Doors, Iron Butterfly, Haight-Ashbury, Jimi Hendrix..............you are just some youngster obviously.

    Good Brother TLV,
It's like asking, who was better John Smith or Gable. Both era's had some of best ever. 60's kicked in the door with Beatles, The Stones, Motown, Dylan,Janis, Soloman Burke, Ike and Tina....and on.....and on.. The 70's smashed a whole in the roof and in flew Earth,Wind, & Fire, Steely Dan, Black Sabbath,Ritha Franklin, Marvin Gaye,Stevie Wonder,Queen, Parliament.... Then of course someone forgot to reinforce the doggie door and Barry Manilow and the Bee Gee;s snuck past. Oh well...
