I've got to think about what I want to do with Kinser since Trusty flexed him this week.

I'm not gonna try and argue to have people's points taken away.....

I mean looking at that statement in the first post, yeah its a message board rumor but its a message board rumor that says Kinser is a 157 pounder.

Given the fact that Kinser hasn't wrestled 49 all year, seems like that statement is probably grounded in fact.

He was drafted at 49 and by the rules, his backup points are scored for duals. Do I think this is right? No, but that's life. If I were the commish, I'd have it plain and simple...you're guy doesn't wrestle...no points...period, no backup BS. Just like last week, technically I could have asked for Slatons backup points in the 4 duals in addition to UNO.
I for one vote next year...no wrestler...no points...

I actually gave you Dennis' points last week.

I gave you the Kinser points the other week because it remained possible that he was sitting and getting down to 49, but now it seems as though he's a 57 pounder for good.

Like I said before, I've got to think about what I want to do in this situation.

Hmmm...I scored it in the 150's without his points?? Don't know and don't care, same with Kinsers deal, I could care less what you do, you're fair and I'm not going to nag you for points, but we may want to think about a no wrestle, no points system.

I don't have a dog in this particular fight, however, I do want to cast a strong vote FOR KEEPING the back up rule as it is currently configured. This season, I have had a couple of dudes whom I thought were going to score decent points for me go down with injury (Paulsen, 133lber from Stanford) or a guy like Michael Chaires, who suddenly decide to take a red-shirt, after all indications prior to our draft had him as UVA's starting 167 lber. I had similar situations last year, mainly with guys losing wrestle-offs with teammates (like Seth Ciasulli from Lehigh, whom I am still bitter towards) however, without the backup rule in place, and no one drafted as a 2nd stringer, I had an empty space in the line-up until the supplemental draft. This year, I get a potential point scorer, and get to become more familiar with a wrestler whom I might never have even heard of otherwise.
I think any rule that has the direct or residual effect of increasing or maintaining interest in the fantasy league AND real wrestling is a very good rule indeed.

I'm kind of inclined to go with what we did last year - you don't wrestle, you don't score. No muss, no fuss. But with that, you take away a lot of the fun of looking for sleepers to draft. But it would also encourage people to make some trades, there's been like 3 the entire year.

Maybe a rule like, if your guy is out, you can have his backup at the weight he most recently wrestled. That way, if a guy is injured during the season, you aren't SOL. But if a guy hasn't wrestled at all so far, you don't get points.

Take Feist (oops, I said it), say he started at 174 then sat out. For the week(s) he was out, you get the 174 backup points. Then he's at 285 for one match, then out the next match in the same week, you get the 285 backup points. Maybe during the match he was out, he was on his way to 197, but you still take the 285's points. It might not always be accurate, but at least it is consistent.

Then you have Kinser. I haven't followed but I don't think he has wrestled this year. So no one gets points for Kinser or his backup. As soon as he wrestles, he can score, and after that, the backup at that weight can score.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
