2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
I've asked for feedback about what tournaments to score and not to score in the rules rough draft thread, but the request is kind of buried.
Here is what I'm thinking for right now...
Definitely scored
Kauffman Brand, Vegas (Bonus), Reno (Bonus), Midlands (Bonus), Scuffle (Bonus), PSU Open, Body Bar, Brockport
Maybe scored
MSU Open, NC State Open, Navy Classic, EMU Open, Binghamton Open, Missouri Open, PSACS
Hokie Open, NY Interscholastics
As of right now if nothing changes we'll score all of these. If there is a tournament here that you don't think should be scored let me know. If you think there is a tournament we should add (All Academy, New York Interscholastics, etc...) let me know.
We will not score every tournament. Just throwing this out there now.

I am fine with the D and M you have chosen . The # of duals seem way down this year .
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
Considering dumping one of the lower tier tournaments (probably EMU or the NC State Open) in favor of the NY Intercollegiate tournament. Also the Hokie Open is going to be a little better this year with all the teams from last year seemingly back and Iowa State coming this time.
Anyone have any thoughts on adding one or both of those tournaments either just on their own, or in place of others?
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
I realize that I'm the new guy but I say as long as the tournaments have easily found results then the more the merrier.
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
I can find the results easy enough. Intermat does a good job with collecting PDF's of all tournament results in their database.
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
Leaning towards adding the Hokie Open and dropping the NC State Open.
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
The sure to be classic ''Meat Head'' open or else Cal Poly will only have 20 matches .

Just looked back to 9/16/09 where you were adding the EMU open .Are they even having a Mizzou Open ?
Just looked up some schedules and CMU,Michigan,MSU and a few others have the EMU open on their schedules .
Re: 2010/2011 Scored Tournaments Discussion
We're going to keep the EMU Open. We're dumping NC State though and picking up the Hokie Open.
I would guess that the lack of information on the Missouri tournament stems from the fact that the two best schools who usually go (Missouri obviously, and Illinois) haven't posted their schedules yet. They're almost always there along with a couple of other decent schools.
