Also,
Is this a one-year keeper scenario? For example, Grips is keeping Metcalf, but next year, does he go back into the pool or does he keep him yet again?
Some professional fantasy leagues have 3-year keepers, but since careers are longer than just four years, I think once you keep an athlete for the next season, they get put back into the lot.
I pick up super stud four-time champ as a freshman, I can keep as a sophomore, but junior year, he's back on the market?
Thoughts?

First week and a half or so of October I think. I'm going to be running down contact info for the next week or so once I get everyone finalized, and just giving people time to strategize.
Once Lost comes in and tells us if he's keeping anyone or not, I'll generate the draft order so you'll know exactly where you're drafting when you're figuring strategy.

I'll think about that for next year I think...

Re: 2008/2009 TWT Fantasy League Official Rules/Pre Draft Discussion
Locking up guys for more than two seasons with such a limited pool of wrestlers cuts down the diversity and complexity of the league dynamic.
Most of the fantasy keeper leagues I've been in have caps on how long you can hold on to a player.

I understand what you're saying completely, and from where I sit right now I like the idea but given that this is the first year that we've had a keeper option its not something I can put into play immediately.
I'll definitely consider it for next year.

dunno if this is the right thread or not but im PRETTY sure Ill be keeping caldwell, but first Id like if anyone knows more on his situation? It sounded like the transfer fell through so he'd be staying with NC state this year.
Also Jensens did you decide that you ARE going to give two draft picks to people who dont have the option of picking a keeper?

Re: 2008/2009 TWT Fantasy League Official Rules/Pre Draft Discussion
I explained the draft on the first page but I'll do it here again.
1. I'll do a random draw for people who aren't keeping anyone, and then those people will do two rounds in snake order.
2. Then I'll do a random draw for everyone who is keeping someone, and they'll all pick one guy.
3. At this point everyone will have two wrestlers.
4. For rounds 3-15 I'm going to do a redraw with everyone's name in the pot, and we'll stick with that order in snake style for the rest of the way.
Once you give me a definitive answer as to whether you're keeping someone or not I'll generate the draft order so people can start coming up with a more specific strategy.

I swear to God, if one of you a-holes doesn't participate properly, I'm going to e-kick your ass.

I guess I should have read the rules, not keeping a guy nets you 2 picks? hmmmmm, I may have to reconsider.
