Exactly, I really hope that my .02 has nothing to do with this.

I'm just chiming in opinions, nothing more. Not trying to talk anyone out of anything. Just pointing out what I see. As I've said, we have around 29 inches of snow and I'm stuck inside watching the Jets and Falcons. I've gotta do something!

I figured by seeing EVERYONE that people dropped, since Payton got the last pick of the draft, I could essentially pick the best guy not on a team after 15 rounds of initial draft and 3 rounds of supplemental drafting. Thats called tactics. Who knew who was going to start dropping off teams those last five or six picks? I believe it was worth my third best heavyweight. Thats my logic, I can't believe everytime I make a trade I am being asked to justify it to VAIS and LoSt. We'll let it cancel but be assured, its VERY possible that Steele is going to make his way on to somene elses team if I can find someone that is going to benefit my team.

Being the best wrestler dropped at the supplemental puts him at about the 211th most desired wrestler. Trading him for a guy who was at one point viewed as a national championship contender, who has been training at the OTC all fall, and recently beat a Russian Hvy a month ago seems a bit one sided. Especially given the fact he is entered in the Southern Scuffle.

I dont think anyone lambasted anybody, just voicing of opinions.

You don't have to justify anything to me dude. We had a conversation about Steele yesterday and we talked about how he'd do this semester and how he'll be great trade bait. Then you traded him for Epperly. It was just surprising and strange to me.

You dont have to explain anything to anyone but JensenS.

Agree with vaisforlovers ... Steele is in fact registered for the Scuffle (as in Epperly). But as much as Matt has high ability, he's again, not a national championship contender in the weight, whereas Steele (all points vaisforlovers made) would now be immediately rankable in the Top 5-10 should he place favorably at the Scuffle.

I'm all for a fair league here, I'm not accusing anyone of collusion to prevent our resident insomniac from winning again, but that trade just reeeeeeks. Glad some bit of rational thought has entered the discussion.

The good news is that LoSt's chances to repeat I think are directly tied to Jordan Burroughs, for good or for bad. I guess the good news also is that if LoSt is going to try to trade for someone on this forum again, he has at least 13 other people scrutinizing his trades as well. An equal playing field is all I ask. BTW, it would be nice if I could have had Epperly since my only other 165, Onufer, is injured. But I guess that doesn't come in to play in trades.

As if I somehow haven't been dealing with that shit already for over a year?

Who was the only one that stuck up for your Burroughs trade? I have been calling for trade rules for three years and if we aren't going to officially close the loopholes than why should people get upset when someone trades anybody for anyone. That is why you need trade rules generally. I think you ought to have two weeks after initial draft and then one week before supplemental and then you need to be done trading one week prior to conferences. If you want to establish a rule than you set a value on guys either by ranking or past performance and you also have a "cap" where you can only be holding 150 basis points on your team. A past national champion is worth 25, an AA is worth 20 and everyone else is a straight 10. People will look for a few studs and the rest value to make sure they can get them all on their 15 person squad. If they want to trade a Deitchler (10) for a Jordan Burroughs (25) they better make sure they have space on their roster, otherwise who cares? Thats the way the big boys do it.
