Thread: Trade

Dart, so if there are two schools of thought on this, one Pro-Steele and one Pro-Epperly, why doesn't that in essence make it a balanced trade? I will tell you that if JB doesn't agree with it, it gives me pause to think about the trade. Its Jensens call, I will go with whatever Jensens says as always. If we are going to start analyzing trades like this however, lets be fair and impartial across the board. Trades that LoSt have made have been far less "equal" than this one.

Trade is fine with me. If both guys were known to be 100% guarantees to wrestle for the rest of the year I would deny it because as had been pointed out when he is in top form Steele is better than Epperly. However Steele is in no way a guarantee to wrestle, so the risk is their for Russ to be taking him on.

I will say I agree with Lost though and say that this is pretty poor strategy by Gofer and that he should have used his pick that he used to get Glasser in the supplemental on Epperly if he wanted him so badly.

Given that Gofer is one of two guys in the league who have made the playoffs both years (and I assume would love to do it a 3rd time) I doubt it.

JensenS just informed me I can go back and take the guy I wanted -IT sure as hell is not Steele -but if I do that I am breaking the promise I made to Goph -all you assholes weighed in before -do so now -does a man give his oath then break it ? -Or since the commish allows this trade go ahead and keep his word ??
As this is a matter of ethics several of you will have NO idea about what I am talking about -the 2-3 people on this board I respect , please chime in .
The question is simple -do you keep your word and face the wrath of fools or lie to your friend and go back and take the wrestler I wanted in the first place ??

It is easy.............you keep your word and follow through on it. You may take it in the shorts now, but it will even out in the end, Russ.

I just got a massive text from Gofer saying that he and Russ are canceling the trade.

Since he and Gofer are canceling the trade I'm letting Russ get rid of Epperly (who he specifically took to trade to Gofer) and use his last supplemental pick on Ivan Loopytoohardtospell the 141 from UNCG.

That was his original pick for his last supplemental choice until he told me to change it in order to try and facilitate this deal with Gofer.
