Eric Nye -ASU. He placed in both Vegas and Reno. Our commish IS wise but in such a weak heavyweight year, he might regret sending the Cali boy to purgatory!

He's proved to definitely be better than I expected him to be, I didn't expect him to have such good tournaments at Vegas or Reno.

I needed a heavy who wrestled this week, Nye doesn't have anything so unfortunately he had to go.

Understandable, ASU's schedule leaves something to be desired after the 1st half of the season.

I actually had Nye on my Fantasy team last year, and, like you, I kicked him to the curb in the supplemental. My reasons were slightly different however. I snuck him in as my double-secret, Get Smart, dark-horse pick whom only I knew about due to his Northern California, Jr. World Greco back ground. On top of that, he was a 2x Ca. Community College State Champ and coached by a buddy of mine from back in the day (Ken Wharry) so he was a can't miss, right? More like a can't win. He got hammered his first few duals and at Vegas and then gets beaten out for varsity by an unfamiliar (to me) Mongolian heavy and that was the last I heard from him all year.

Fortuantly, I think the ASU brain trust kept him in greco and freestyle during the spring and fall and it looks like he regained his bearings. Hope so. He seems like a great prospect. Great minds think alike Brother Shane!

I got him last year when Rader went down at 141...he was just getting his feet wet back then.
