Because when two guys in a hypothetical fantasy matchup actually wrestle during the course of a season we go with that result, for the reasons I stated before. We operate on the hypothetical level only if there is nothing concrete to use.

Think of all of last season as one giant dual. Normally a dual spans two hours, because thats how long it takes for the 10 sets of guys to wrestle. Our fantasy dual spans 4 months, because even in 4 months its unlikely that every one of our pairings will actually meet and wrestle.

A new season= a new dual.

Ok. How about this scenario: Ryan Patrovich vs. Mack Lewnes in a fantasy dual. Ryan Patrovich beat Lewnes head to head at NCAA's, and then finish R12 while Lewnes was 0-2 BBQ. By Fantasy Dual rules, should Patrovich not win?

If that were the only evidence we had you would be correct. However Lewnes was 35-0 going into NCAAs with a substantial resume of top wins, and it is a known fact that he was sick at the tourney.

Lewnes is also a returning AA and is (correctly) ranked significantly higher then Patrovich

Strangely, these rules seem to be flowing in a way which favors your team, Jackson.
