LOL...hey now! My boy Rader is coming back with a Mother %$@'ing vengeance. He will tear them both up but for now you may leave Slaton, you have a strong team, I have no issue with you pulling that dual out.

Ashmore will end up at 125. You picking Grajales over scott is laughable. Lewnes will walk over Miller if they meet.

Caputo vs Craig is a tossup but Caputo has accomplished more and has better wins. I mean if we are using strict "last result counts" logic Tucker Lane would be a favorite over Jared Rosholt, and we all know that isn't true.

All that being said, my team is not built to win at fantasy duals. I think there were a few teams that had legitimate arguments for beating me in a dual LAST year, and we all saw what happened then...

...yes, then you started making trades like a crackwhore and then you won.

You were all about using this last year when we did this thread...

Yes, I was all about using LAST years results when we made LAST years thread. Cmon now...

I believe in using the immediate last result during the course of a season because I feel its the best representation of what we are trying to achieve with these threads. With a few exceptions, I try to be fairly strict on going by the rankings for a fantasy dual. In reality, many of these matches are probably very competitive and could easily go either way. However in order for this to be more then a back and forth argument (my guy will win, no he wont, yes he will) we have to have some kind of final indicator.

In other words, to prevent people from simply saying "well my guy will pull an upset if A and B wrestle" I have to say that in hypotheticals we go by the rankings, or by the guy who would be a clear favorite using logical deduction (IE one guy is 5-0 in his career against the other). That doesn't change the fact that upsets DO happen in duals. The only way to objectively reflect this is to say that when/if an upset occurs during the course of the year we count it as if it were a real match in our fantasy dual.

This is why I gave Caldwell a fall over Palmer last year. 9 times out of 10 that is not the end outcome of a match between the two, but the one time they wrestled it WAS what happened, so we have to go with it. Nine times out of ten Konrad probably does not pin Mocco, but in the finals of national duals he did, and it counted for that dual regardless of probability.

All that being said, last years results DONT carry over as literal results. They might inform who we think is a favorite in a given matchup, but they are no longer black and white statistics.

Think of it this way: Last year Chris Brown beat Nick Marable. In a fantasy dual matchup between those two guys we would have had to give Brown the win. But would we favor Brown over Marable if they meet again this season? I sure wouldn't.

I only used last year's results when the rankings weren't clear for the record. If the rankings were close, I tried to go back to the last time they had met.

    27-6.

Would you have favored Chris Brown if they had met again last season? I sure wouldn't. So why is it ok to carry over the result of an upset in one scenario and not the other.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

Tell you what, I'll let you keep the Miller win because he has legitimately earned the #1 ranking. You can even have a forfeit at 125 So its like 21-12 you or something like that.

My guys will overtake yours during the regular season so there is no rush

I don't really have the energy to break down my team against anyone else's but I will say that I don't think my team is anywhere near as good dual wise as the team that I had last year.
