125 Precin dec. Fio (0-3) 133 Humphrey dec. Dennis (3-3) 141 Tsirtsis dec. Jaggers (3-6) 149 Metcalf dec. Palmer (6-6) 157 Chandler dec. Johnstone (6-9) 165 M* dec. Sponseller (6-12) 174 Miller dec. Borschel (9-12) 184 Umbehauer dec. Craig (12-12) 197 Chriswell dec. Todd (15-12) 285 Porter dec. Dudziak (18-12) NOTES: -133 and 165 are really both toss ups, so I went with the higher ranked. -Who knows if Jaggers would beat Tsirtsis or not. I'm betting that he wouldn't, but he's still the defending champ... -Yes, I know Borschell is ranked higher than Miller. I also would probably give him the edge if they wrestled again, but Miller won the last time the wrestled, and I knew it would irritate Zapp, so I gave Miller the victory . Even if Borschell wins that match it's still a 5/5 split, so I don't know that I'd say your team is THAT much better than mine...

That would actually be a pretty fun dual to watch... I just checked and Todd is 1-1 against ranked opponents at 197. I'm surprised they keep him ranked so high after such little action and such an injury. |

Craig has already wrestled Umbehauer this year. Craig DEC Umbehauer 8-6. That makes it a 15-15 tie giving you 2 out of 3 toss ups. Also, Todd has more matches then Chriswell, so I'm not sure about your rankings complaint there. You'll need to win 2 out of 3 toss-ups to TIE my team. A possibility, of course, but I think you'll see Dennis is a bad match up for Mr. Humphrey. Hump struggles with the brawlers (re: Baker). Either way, you'll be

Re 184: Touche. I didn't realize they had wrestled. Hump definitely had trouble with Baker, and I think 133 is a razor sharp matchup. I also think the same about 165. If I had to bet on the 2, I would probably take Dennis at 133 and Sponseller at 165--but I went with rankings to stir up less controversy. Mind you, if I had gone with Intermat as has been used for these comparisons in the past, I would have been favored in both of those bouts. What 3 tossups are you talking about? 184 is as much of a tossup as 174--I am not giving you Craig over Umbehauer as a sure thing. Yes, Craig beat Umbehauer in head to head, but Umbehauer has not lost to David Thompson and Larry Wilbanks. So that's 4 tossups--I would have to win 2 to tie your team, and you would have to win 2 to tie mine. Sounds pretty even to me. I think you forgot to finish your post... |

Donahoe over Precin 3-0 Bell over Dennis 6-0 (Until Dennis beats Bell, rankings don't matter) Tsirtsis over Drouin 6-3 Palmer over Ruschell 6-6 Gillespie over Chandler 9-6 M* over Marable 9-9 (I'd take Marable in this rematch, though) Borschel over Jordan 9-12 (Jordan's been impressive since Midlands, Borschel not so much Caputo over Craig 12-12 Brester over Todd 15-12 Ellis over Dudziak 18-12 Answer: not at all better than mine. |
