That is why you give them three for a regular win -not any bonus points -although changing the rules is a pretty steep step in any way -I agree no bonus points are called for but a win is accorded in the books so some points should be given -just 3 -no bonus .
As a coach I have had kids that I ffted to simply because I feared for my kids safety and I have had other coached fft to my kids -if I could have I wouldn't have taken the 6 but the rules state that , unless there is a referees DQ a score must be entered in the Home scorebook as the home scorebook is the official one for that match .
If you are not counting fft's , how are you going to score advancement pts and byes and such in tournaments ?
While that may be true at the high school level, it's not likely to happen on the college level. FFT's happen at the college level typically for injury reasons/discipline reasons. As to scoring advancement pts and byes and such....I don't score those at all. It's all in the rules. A pin in a tournament is worth 6 points, just like a dual.
