I would be fine with random order, or reverse order from the previous year, but nothing that gives new people the first picks just because they are new. If they get the first pick in a random draw I would be fine with it. In no way should be impliment Kr's suggestion...imo.

So does this mean that if the person who wins conference week is one of the Top 5 cumulative scorers, only 5 teams make the playoffs? Didn't we have 6 playoff teams this year?

I'm also for random order for the draft, last year and/or new players shouldn't be taken into account imo.

gobigred, I think it means that there will be a total of five teams in the playoffs no matter what. The five top regular season scorers, plus the person that scored the most during the conference week but would not have otherwise made the playoffs.

    I fixed what you wrote.

I'll give an example. Say the regular season standings (including conference week) are

    1-Gold, 2-GBR, 3-Gage, 4-accboy, 5-vaisforlovers, .........., 12-Herkey

Gold, GBR, Gage, accboy, and vais would all get in based on their high totals. Now, for conference week, accboy gets the most points with 250, but Herkey gets 275. Herkey makes the playoffs since accboy was already in.

    Make sense?

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure there weren't any scenarios where only 5 teams would get in.

Thanks Gold. I meant to say six.

I meant what I meant, not what I said.

See PARITY rules in any pro sport league, NFL, NBA etc.
I said IF they haven't played before. I would give them an advantage.

Otherwise I think we do it the pro sports way & go reverse order in the end of season standings.

Why not just saw top 6 get in to the finals BUT the conference winner gets a birth as well leaving that week open for anyone off the bottom 6 to make it. If one does then we have 7 in the finals.

That way the is a reason to keep playing...not naming names, jus sayin...

7 is way too many to make the playoffs. 6 is just fine imo and random order is the fairest/easiest way to do things.

There will be a reason to keep playing because if you win conference week you will get into the playoffs no matter how badly you had done, therefore everyone can play up until conferences.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
