Gold, that was Brantleys fifth match as a freshman. He also had some nice wins over Brady Wilson, Dan Erekson, Ed Bordas and Kyle Massey.

That doesn't say anything about how good he is right now, though, and no one on this site knows whether Brantley is going to "commit" soon or ever. I know where you're coming from--there are a lot of Ohio guys I think have a ton of potential, but they haven't proven much collegiately yet.

Until that time, all we have to look at is the results, and Berhow has significantly better results this year and a victory in their only head-to-head match. How you find a way to constantly bash Berhow and highly tout Brantley is beyond me.

Saying that Brantley is better than Berhow is far from being highly toutfull of Brantley.

Berhow did beat Brady Wilson once this year and he's beaten Tucker Lane, but I wouldnt call those wins "marquee" by any stretch of the word.

A win over Lane is a good win, period. He has lost to only Lane and Rosholt, both matches in OT.

Even so, I didn't say he was a world-beater. I just said he has had significantly better results than Brantley, who you say is better. Brantley is barely over .500 (5-3) with two losses to unranked opponents and no quality wins. The only time he faced a ranked opponent, he lost by 5. Clearly he is better than #11 Berhow.

Brantley has not shown the improvement I was hoping for, whereas Berhow has. I needed help at 149 and Hwt and got that. It sucks to give up Taylor, but I think Haynes is still improving and could challenge for AA by March. This trade strengthens my team come tourney time.

lol@Herkey and his irrational berhow Hate

Ben Berhow Dec Kyle Massey (Wisconsin) 5-4SV
Ben Berhow Dec Kyle Massey (Wisconsin) 3-2
Ben Berhow Dec Brady Wilson (MSU-Mankato) 6-2
Ben Berhow Dec Christian Brantley (Northern Iowa) 6-5

Yes, clearly Brantley is better then Berhow due to his wins over Massey and Wilson

I just traded for the guy knowing full well he is inferior in quality to berhow.

If a guy has to "decide to committ" then that is a major question mark in my head.

Oh well, he's my guy now.

LOL! You offered me those two for Blanton and Berhow...It would be one of the dumbest trades in fantasy wrestling history if i had made it.

I'm really only getting one guy with the exception of midlands i suppose.
Neither have looked that amazing either. One of them could be 3rd in conference and have had a GOOD day.

Missouris schedule is weak and their big 12 duals are coming up. Zabriske, Rosholt, Lane and Fernandez are among the duals. Not to mention the fact that I'd have to try to figure out which one would start for the duals, and if i chose wrong I'd be out a spot.

I could go on for quite a while why that trade was horrible
