Why is that? He is a collegiate wrestler. Competing from Illinois. For all I know Jake Deitchler is Redshirting. SHould i not be allowed to have him?

Maybe it's different if it's a confirmed redshirt, but if you want to pick up one person for one week while getting rid of a person, and running the risk you wouldnt be able to pick them back up, you should be able to.

Not trying to pile on at all here, but another example is if you think or have some info that a redshirt maybe being pulled off later in the year, if you have the initiative or information to get them, you should be able to take that risk.
