Pre-Draft Information/Discussion 2009-2010

NEED CONTACT INFO!
Please send me a PM with your cell phone number. During the draft, we (either myself or rpayton--no one else will see your number) will send you a text message to alert you that your turn is coming up. This helps the draft go as quickly as possible.

If you are able to check to see if you are up throughout the day or if you aren't comfortable giving me your phone number, that is fine, but understand that if you do not make your pick within your allotted time slot, the draft will continue without you. If this happens, you will be able to make your picks when you become available.


DRAFT RULES:
1) Starting Time. The draft will officially begin Monday, October 5, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. However, the draft order is posted, so if people start making picks before then, that is fantastic. We will not start timing (see below) the picks until October 5th.

2) Time Limit. You have 3 hours from the time of the pick before you to make your pick. If not, the person after you is free to make their pick, and so on and so forth. You may make your missed pick at any time, but you are missing out wrestlers.

Further, official time limits will only apply between 10 am and 10 pm Eastern Time. If your pick is scheduled outside of those hours, you may make that pick, but no time limit will start on the next league member until the official opening.

Ex: If vaisforlovers makes his pick at 8:30 pm, then tigerfan is not required to make his pick by 11:30 pm, but by 12:30 pm (just after midday) on the next draft day. 1 1/2 hours from the night before WILL count on your time limit. However, tigerfan is free to make his pick at any time, say at 1:30 am. Then, accboy may make his pick at any time before 10 am, or he has until 1:00 pm on the next day.

3) When it's your turn, you will receive a text message from either me or r.payton@att.net, who will help us keep the draft running smooth. If something about the draft days or phone system isn't going to work for you, let me know and we will try to accommodate you.

I would just like to point out for the record that I am pretty much the de-facto champ of this league, since Gold was so scared he wouldn't even let me in

GOld how does this sound. When half of these guys drop out and stop posting lineups, I'll take over the worst one of their teams and see if I can pull off a payton and make the playoffs.
