Not RU from what I gather, but we DID add duals with Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa. I guess you could say we softened up the schedule a bit!!
The issue with the Scuffle is that many of the same teams we see anyway are there. With the new RPI that hurts. Plus the requirement to have riding time for all tournaments eliminated one of the draws for the Scuffle.

I also see UNC 1/11 and chance of moving that date in lieu of a national duals invite? I hear there are two more teams to be named.
I for one would love the the Terps jump into the mix.

I for one would love the the Terps jump into the mix. | National duals would be a good experience. We should have a very solid dual meet team. The loss of Josh Haines creates a big question mark at 184, but everyone has a hole or two in their lineups. Perhaps National Duals the next year when we will have a very seasoned team that could be coming back from a strong NCAA performance.
Your other question:
Sat 11/29/08 Northeast Duals Guilderland, NY
Iowa, Missouri, UNCG 12p, 2:30p, 4:30p

Everyone but Josh Haines returns.......
125 Byrne, Strizki, Knox, Ruland. Byrne returns from last year when he had some good wins. Knox was ACC runner-up in 2007. Strizki is a really tough kid who had over 20 wins in opens as a true freshman. Ruland could be a surprise here.
133 Steve Bell returns. Won the ACC and three matches at the NCAAs. Potential AA
141 Krom, Kohler. Krom redshirted last year and Kohler was a terrific surprise, winning the ACC title. I suspect Kohler will redshirt this year and focus on his Cell Biology major! Krom is a potential AA.
149 Probably Eric Medina. As a true freshman was runner-up in the ACC to some guy from NC State. Medina may be a round of 12 type of guy.
157 Another surprise last year was Brian Letters, winning the ACC and bumping off a seed in the first round of the NCAAs. Off of injury at this weight may be Andrew Bradley. This weight could be a battle in the room.
165 Mike McGill wrestled with a bad knee all year and had surgery. He says he's the healthiest he's been in years. A journeyman kind of wrestler who could have a breakout year as a junior. Also true freshmen Peltier or Asper may challenge here.
174 Mike Letts. Two time ACC champ who did not have the NCAA tourney he had hoped for. He's wrestling in the Junior Worlds next month. Should place very high at the NCAAs.
184 The huge question mark weight for us. Josh Haines had a final, career ending, concussion in the ACC tourney. Great kid who won't have a chance to go for all american before he graduates. (edit: Sorry, Josh graduated after the Fall semester and started graduate school in the Spring semester)
197 Hudson Taylor. Another problem weight for the Terps.
Hwt. Pat Gilmore did a nice job here last year, being thrown into the weight class as a redshirt freshman and finishing around .500. Should have some added size this coming year. Incoming freshman Kyle Hanson from Blair may challenge at this weight too.
