National Wrestling Coaches Association
After finishing second at the 2008 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, it didn’t seem like there was much more Ohio State coach Tom Ryan could to bring momentum into Columbus and excitement to the wrestling program.
Well, there was.
Wednesday, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced the 43rd annual NWCA All-Star Classic presented by the United States Marine Corps will be hosted by The Ohio State University Nov. 24, 2008.
I'm not sure where they're going to hold it....St. John or the Schott, but I'm hoping for St. John. It only seats around 13,000, so hopefully it'll get packed, and it's a much louder building with all of the seating pretty close to the action. Plus, it's a shorter walk to the Varsity Club before and after the meet. |

I believe it is going to be in St. John's.

Good for Ohio State. They should put on a great event at St. John's Arena.

It is based on ranking and the wrestlers are selected from there. The rankings can change depending on where a person might certify and if they are moving around in weight as well.
