Is there a better coach around for a middle weight wrestler, specifically a 165 pounder than Joe Heskett?
I will give you credit for at least admitting your bias.

Yep, but so did Iowa and the year prior, so did Iowa State. With the #1 recruiting class last year, all of whom will redshirt, I like us the following year.
2009-2010
125 Sanders
133 Ness
141 Thorn/Mincey
149 Mason
157 Deitchler
165 Glasser
174 Yohn
184 Yohn
197 Geiger
Hwt Disney/Berhow/Nord
I smell a comeback.
I haven't followed Minny much but do you really see Cody at 174 next year? I saw him a couple time this year and little Ness recently. They are both very good.

The thing is, how hard can Heskett go with his heart condition? Can he even wrestle at all?

They said little Yohn was at 171 this year so I guess I assumed that he would wrestle at 174. I could be wrong but if I am, it creates one hell of a logjam for Minny at 184/197 and Heavy with Yohn/Yohn/Geiger/Eidensheink/Disney/Nord/Berhow.

133 Slaton- Runner up. Toss at worst.
141 Leclere- Slaton has majored Thorn, I like Leclere here.
149 Metcalf- He is good.
157 Morningstar- I give him edge over RS FR
165 Covington- Glasser was beat out by Saf, I like Covington.
174 Borschell- Will clobber younger Yohn.
184 Keddy- Has to be favored.
197 Beatty- Toss at worst.
285 Ereckson- Should be favored.
I actually like Minny in the match-ups at 125, 133, 157, 165 and one of the potential heavier weights.
To give M* any edge over Deitchler or Mason is WAY to kind in my opinion.
You should ask Trusty about Glasser. Covington is good but I think Glasser is at his level, without a doubt.
Thorn has always wrestled at a weight class above where he should be. By the time he has filled out to a true 141, I think he is a solidly ranked wrestler. He has filled in at 132 weighing 130 and filled in at 141 weighing 135 in the past.
You may also want to watch some video on Geiger before you give Beatty the nod in that match-up. Just a thought.
I like the up and coming team, what can I say.
125 Sanders-this just in, he's good (Minny)
133 Ness-runner-up at 125. He isn't going to be cutting too hard to make this weight. Slaton may move up by then. (toss-up)
141 Thorn-might surprise some people in two years when he fills in. (Iowa)
149 Mason-pretty good recruit I have heard,
not in Metcalf's league however. (Iowa).
157 Deitchler-could beat M* right now without the redshirt year in my opinion. (Minny)
165 Glasser-has had two injuries and missed some time, he is very close to Reader's level (toss-up)
174 Yohn-will be raw, a more mature Borschel certainly favored (Iowa)
184 Yohn-Keddy has shown vast improvement so have to assume today he would be favored (Iowa)
197 Geiger-I think Geiger will be a superior wrestler to Beatty in two years (Minny)
Hwt Berhow-will be our most improved wrestler next year, not giving Erekson anything until he proves his abilities (toss-up)
I show that as Iowa favored in four, Minny in three and three toss-ups. Since this is two years out from happening it would be cool to time capsule this and see if even any of these guys are around by then.

You are correct. Cody did go at 171 and I don't think 174 will be a problem but I didn't know who else they have at that weight. They should be fun to watch.
