Would one of the Steiners be interested? I wonder with the Bowlsby and Zalesky situation it may not be a good fit.

Anyway, good hire for Maryland. McCoy is a great get for them.

I can't speak for him (Steiner), but I can't imagine he'd want to work under the dude that burned him. But then again, Head opportunities are few.

If I were to bet...the new coach will have worn the black and gold.

Me too. I was just trying to think of a guy who had the coaching pedigree to Coach at Stanford (and who is likely to move out to California).

McCoy was the clear number one choice almost from the start of the alumni and boosters closest to the program, and every member of the team wanted him. Same general coaching philosophy as Pat Santoro. Of course they are different men but I think Maryland may be better next year as a result of the team coming together than we would have been otherwise.

Now back to that need for a 184 pounder......
