| Olympic Champ
| Gavin said that he will be busy from now until the time of his Olympic qualifying match. "I accepted a job coaching at Penn State starting June 1," Gavin said. "And I will be training for the Olympic trails." Hey DH....... Gavin said that his training is done with the New York Athletic Club, and he will be traveling back and forth from Chicago from now until June to prepare. ![]() ![]() | I am not sure what he means by "my training is done with the NYAC." I thought that we just picked him up a few months ago, and the NYAC has high hopes for some of the younger guys like Gavin and Herbert. There will be an NYAC training camp at Overtime at the end of May/beginning of June, so I assume that is what Gavin is talking about. But it's weird that he said he was "done" with the NYAC... I don't move out to Overtime until July 1st so I won't be there yet for the camps, but OT hosts a ton of camps throughout the year so I'll be there for any future training camps. (I was out there for last year's world team trials camp and photographed a bunch of the training sessions -- some photos are up on the Overtime Training Center Photo Gallery if you want to check out what training camps are like out there... Big there are some pics of Nickerson, so don't get too excited). | |||||||||||

| Round of 12
| Dan Vallimont made a huge turn around this year. Now imagine how much better he's going to be with Keith Gavin as a workout partner. My original prediction for a 2009 157 National Champion wasn't Vallimont, but maybe I ought to change that prediction.
