Tuesday, Apr 15, 2008 - 12:05:52 am CDT Police arrested a Husker wrestling standout this weekend after getting a loud party call.
Paul Donahoe, 22, was taken to jail early Sunday on suspicion of maintaining a disorderly house.
Police say just after 1 a.m. Sunday they were called to his address on Claremont Street in the North Bottoms about a loud party. According to court records, officers arrived and found a large number of people inside and outside the house, many who appeared to be under 21. About 50 people left. Some stayed.
Police say Donahoe was argumentative and refused to make anyone leave. The officer put him in handcuffs, but he allegedly began to walk away so he was arrested.
At the jail, his blood alcohol level tested at .122. He was released from jail at about 4:30 a.m.
The junior from Davison, Mich., won the 2007 NCAA championship at 125 pounds and finished third this year.
Re: Donahoe arrested for House party being too loud
sounds like another case of POLICE gone wild -at Donahoes weight he probably had three beers to read that Alcohol level -and by believing the crap they teach you in civics class about having rights , Donahoe probably lost his temper and walked away . If the POLICE had their way the DA would charge Donahoe with resisting arrest-that bumps the charge up to a felony and Donahoe's life, for all intents and purposes , is over .
Re: Donahoe arrested for House party being too loud
If I had a nickel for every private party we had where the cops showed up because of noise, I'd have a lot of nickels. We always offered the nice policemen a snack or a soft drink, and then tried to quiet the crowd the best we could.
