Henson needs to fully commit to coaching before he gets a head job.

There was a big meeting of Lehigh fans in a banquet room right across from where the USAW practices were being held, before the finals at the NCAA's. Lots of famous and not so famous faces (all very well dressed in shades of brown). I wonder if this was a topic of discussion at that meeting.

    Give it to Henson.
Do you think the Minny admin. would force J. Rob's hand, ala Bobby Douglas? And do you think maybe Marty doesn't want to be the guy that follows a legend? If I were in his position, I think that Maryland would look pretty darn attractive.

I would also think that there is the "fierce urgency of now" for any DI assistant no matter how secure their future path seems. Head coaching jobs at a program on the rise like Maryland do not pop up very often, I would think Morgan would be tempted to grab the oppurtunity while (if) it exists.

Does Marty have time to be a head coach or willing to devote the time to being a head coach given the amount of bouts he has been cornering in MMA lately?

Are you kidding JROB is the Minny program. What was that program like before he arrived on the scene. It's his job for life if he so choses.
Once burned, I think D Yow is astute enough to know that hiring Martin is a temporary fill.

I certainly don't know what's in Marty Morgan's mind but if he really wants to end up at Minnesota ultimately (ala Brands to V-Tech, back to Iowa) then I think he holds out. You know that J Rob and he have talked about a "worst case scenario" and Marty seems comfortable with it. I would say that J. Rob has no more than 3 years left and it could be one year left depending on how the new guys develop. Why would Marty make a detour to Maryland if he ultimately would want to try his hand at running the Minnesota program?

I am not saying it can't happen but I would be kind of surprised if he did.

I think this is different than Brands/Iowa. Iowa had just hired a new coach 7 years before Brands left. If Brands knew he would get the job and Gable has less than 5 years left, no way would he have left. I agree that Morgan will stay at Minny.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
