Kish and DS deserve much credit for fighting on through great pain this year.
Iowa had the same problem a couple of years back with both Fuller and Fields going down along with Erekson. So depth is very important.

I agree, and it's difficult to have quality depth with limited scholarships in a tough physical sport like wrestling. Looks like the Hawks are developing quality depth right now.

I would agree and I think that was my point. I was being a little funny by saying all that depth would help them at Open Tournaments but I also admitted that Iowa was not going to be in the same position that Minnesota was when we lost guys at 149,157,184 and had little depth to cover those spots.

The conversation in the previous posts was about the quality of the depth in the first three weights for Iowa. Gopherfan stated that it would be great during open tournaments. I caught the sarcasm so I stated that it would also be great if someone gets hurt ala the gophers last season. I in no way was implying that it would be great for someone to get hurt. I was just saying that it is always great to be deep when someone does go down. Sorry for the confusion, but I can see how it happened since you probably didnt read the previous four or five posts before reading the new post.

You are right, we had Mellmer. Who could ask for anything more.

    His nickname is Bonus Points

I'm not pulling for any Gopher wrestler injuries...now, there's a few Gopher posters I'm rooting for a torn ACL for
