Doctors don't know anything about wrestling and not that much about drastic weight cutting. If they did they would not allow college wrestlers in the past to do what they did. Coaches encouragied them to use plastics to cut weight and stuff. Doctors allowed it.

I am awaiting the "R" word to come into this topic..... I say probably within the next three posts by Big.
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

Also, if doctors knew anything about wrestling and making weight they would not allow wrestlers make weight twice per week. That in itself is bad for your health and adds seriously to injuries.

Why do I have an awful feeling that this thread is going to go absolutely no where good, and probably do it very quickly?

Thats probably the best reason out of any.

My gut is telling me to close this thread, but I'm stupidly going to leave it open for now.

Sweeping assumptions, made by Big. shocking. You're right. There are no wrestlers who go on to become doctors-except, what is Eric Tannenbaum doing this fall? And doctors know nothing about the special needs of athletes, except that there is an entire discipline called sports medicine. You really show how ignorant you are with every single post. It's disgusting and irresponsible.

Sports medicine is about treating injuries, not about the sport itself. The only reason its called "sports" medicine is because the injuries they treat occur in sports.

Wrestlers becoming doctors is irrelevant because they don't teach you about wrestling in medical schools. They don't break down a wrestling season and study what happens to wrestlers.

They learn how to fix an ACL tear and stuff like that. The fact that ACL maybe was torn due to excessive weight cutting and competition is irrelevant to them.
