Just making sure. If you want to bring your daughter next year, I will be sure to entertain her!
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

Lots of skywalks, plenty of hotels, lots of cheap or free parking. Unfortunately, they have to remove some of the seats at Wells Fargo to accommodate 8 mats, and there's not a ton to do, and the airport isn't huge. I guess everyone could come to Ames to party every night.
But you don't have to take a puddle-jumper to get to Des Moines. Kansas City is great, but I didn't know about the Sprint center. A downtown facility is a must.

What about Pittsburgh? Is there a facility there that could handle NCAAs? Denver, Minneapolis, Albuquerque?

I am inclined NOT to have the tournament permanently in St. Louis.

I decided to drive from Des Moines even though I tried to get a flight from both Des Moines and Kansas City. Des Moines to St Louis, $800.00. 14 hour drive round trip with high gas prices $140 round trip. No direct flights from Kansas City, 3 hour drive from my house in Winterset, take off from Kansas City - connecting flight to St Louis in Charlotte, NC - on the way back connecting flight to KC in Dallas, TX. $250.00 plus $50 in gas for the roundtrip to KC. For me, Omaha 2 hours away should be the venue, or even Des Moines Iowa. The new Wells Fargo Arena is perfect.
    See you in St. Louis!

Actually, it has been a few years since I have had to worry about my own young kids, and I tend to forget. (Hmmmm, I tend to forget a lot of things . . . .) However, having faithfully followed the adventures of TwinkieHomerMuffHips as a guide to appropriate behavior when attending the tourney, Vegas seemed a natural. Besides, I can drive there in an afternoon.

This sounds like the best idea i have heard yet. I didn't go to Detroit but i heard the 1.5 hr buss trip to from the hotel to the stadium sucked. I thought St. Louis was awesome.

It should stay in St Louis. I'm from the Philly area, and wrestling fans are going to hate Philly. Better get used to riding a train. Not much going on right around the Wacovia Center. Why screw up a good thing?????
