I was wondering why Brands never coached Perry? I thought maybe I was imagining things and maybe he was just on the other mat. Then the finals came and sure enough Zaddick and Schwab come out with Perry. What gives? There has to be a story.

i don't know about any bad relationship but in college wrestling, it is not uncommon to have the coaches that work with you in the wrestling room, thus knowing you the best, coach in your corner.

In the finals !!!??? the head coach is no where to be found? When has that happend before?
Brands was around. Penn State's head coach wasn't out there for Davis' match.
For reasons mentioned in another thread, I kept pretty close tabs on the Hawkeyes' coaching staff. It seems as if they have specific coaches assigned to specific wrestlers. This made sure that there was consistency in coaching, as well as covering every wrestler in the tourney. I think you're looking for fire where there isn't even smoke.

Why would they make a change from the regular corner coaches just because it's the finals? If I'm wrestling in the NCAA finals, I want the same coaches in my corner that have been there the entire tournament.
