I think that's one of the problems at HWT .-kids wanna do both play and wrestle -but can't -when I was @IU Chamberlain was a juco transfer wrestler but still Golic from ND -whooped him. IU's coach Goldman is against it but look at Long from Michigan -6'7''313-and a great athelete IU's HWT is an injured overweight 197 lber. I 'm losing my own self here -title 1X killing weight classes -there should be a 208 and say a 223 -then a HWT.I would puy Everhart at 208 over anyone .
IU lost to Purdue when Everhart got stuck @6:47 of the match while giving up 60 lbs . When I wrested there were 13 classes ,now 10. I pray our sport isn't doomed to women's field hockey.

Gotta question you there. When were there ever 13 weight classes in college? There used to by 8 weights until 1952, when the NCAA expanded to 10.

I'd respectfully have to disagree. For the most part, I've seen good sportsmanship from him. But I have also seen some showboating. Could be a result of the intensity that can come from the Carolina-State rivalry though, but still. I don't consider him one of the "bad guys" but I can't put him on my "good guys" list either.

I suppose you could say he's in Stardust Purgatory.

That being said, Darrion Caldwell and Pat Santoro/Maryland have brought a lot of attention to the ACC this year which is a good thing. Not much from the Tar Heels in that department.

Sure the "Stardust Purgatgory" isn't tinged with a slight shade of Carolina Blue!?!?

Yeah, perhaps he's "showboated" a bit, but on balance I've seen many more positive things, especially when he's off the mat. Seems to be a good kid and I wish him well.

yeah, I'm sure. Believe me, I don't view the collegiate wrestling world through Carolina blue sunglasses. Besides Iowa and Penn State, I don't have a favorite wrestling team, there are individuals on lots of teams (including the Woofies) that I pull for. And since lots of the North Carolina high school kids that I know end up at State, I still pull for them. So yeah, I'd consider myself pretty objective about Caldwell. And I have never seen anything bad off the mat from him, more just kinda showing off sometimes during matches. Like I said, nothing major, just things that make me go, "ehh, not gonna be a favorite of mine."
