    Default Schlatter a/k/a Timex

Schlatter actual cranked it up a notch on day 1 winning 5-3 and 6-2 against 2 relatively innocous oppoenents. Still, it's an improvement from his traditional 3-1, 3-2 victory.

Rattled by some minor injury and given his the mastery of the clock, I've decided to rebrand the Schlatterbug.

His new moniker - - Timex.

Relies on the clock and takes a licking but keeps on ticking.

I don't care how he gets it done as long as he gets it done. Bonus points would be nice but in this tournament, advancing is all you need to do.

BTW, did anyone ever really call him the Schlatterbug and could someone explain to me why?

Adam Hall could be described with a lot of adjectives, but I'm going to go ahead and say "relatively innocuous" isn't one of them.

I would say the same with Mitch Mueller. Although not elite, anyone who has gotten to the big dance and advanced is really not that innocuous.

    Except, of course, Metcalf...

down goes schlatter, down goes schlatter: 4-1 so far. that's why i don't by timex.

i wonder what all the schwatz's over at the mat are going to say now that their boy is out of the running - just about all but one of the "experts" picked him to beat metcalf for the title.

    Apparently they all overlooked Caldwell.
